Located in Class G airspace, you’ll enjoy the freedom of unrestricted flying—ideal for building confidence and mastering the fundamentals. At the same time, we’re close enough to controlled airspace that you’ll gain valuable experience navigating real-world air traffic environments. It’s the best of both worlds: safe, flexible training with the opportunity to hone the skills and knowledge you’ll need for flying anywhere.
✅ Hours Required
You’ll need a minimum of 45 flying hours, including at least 25 dual instruction hours with your instructor and 10 solo flying hours. 'Many students complete slightly more to build confidence and skills.'
✅ Exams
To qualify, you’ll sit nine ground school exams covering essential topics like air law, meteorology, navigation, human performance, and more. Don’t worry, you have 2 years from when you take your first exam to pass — We’ll guide you every step of the way with expert tuition & on - site ground school facilities.
✅ Medical Requirements
All pilots need a CAA Class 2 medical certificate, issued by an approved aviation medical examiner. This ensures you’re fit to fly and enjoy your training safely. (This, along with the Air Law exam must be passed before you can Fly Solo).
